IT'S ON - SEE YOU THERE!
SUNDAY 1ST MAY 2022
We are excited to announce that the soham carnival and heavy horse show will be going ahead this year.
Soham carnival is planned for the 1st bank holiday in may on Soham's Recreation ground and we have booked some fab performances and attractions for the day.
We are pleased to introduce team mad as our main event, offering bmx, mountain biking and parkour displays, who are also bringing along bikes for people to participate.
for the last 2 years, this event has been cancelled due to covid-19 restrictions, so it now looks set and safe to continue with the 69th soham Carnival and Heavy Horse Show.
The queens platinum jubilee means there is no bank holiday monday at the end of may, so this year, we have shifted our normal date from the end of May, to the beginning.
this popular event has always proven to be a fun, family day out for all ages, and offers fundraising for local charities and exposure of local businesses.
all stalls and pitches are now fully booked, so we are sorry if we have disappointed anyone, but if you have any other questions then please get in touch with us, by phone, email or social media at the contacts below.
Hope to see you there!

@sohamcarnival (soham benevolent association)
The first ever Soham Carnival & Heavy Horse Show was held on Soham Recreation Ground to celebrate the Queen's Coronation in 1953.
Due to that shows’ success, The Soham Benevolent Association was formed the following year, to continue to bring this popular event together on an annual basis.
70 years later and the Soham Carnival is still running, providing a great day out for all the family, whilst at the same time, helping to raise funds for local schools, charities and organisations.
Having the traditional, atmosphere of a country show, with regular events throughout the day, interactive displays, shopping stalls, heavy horses, a parade of floats through the town and finished off with live music to dance to, Soham Carnival still proves to be one of the most loved, local events in Soham and surrounding areas.
